Holland-on-sea is a seaside town in east Essex, located close to the town of Clacton with easy road and rail links to London and the South-east.
The town has several independent shops, a town hall, a primary school, one main hotel, plus a number of guest houses and 4 churches. It has numerous fine beaches with facilities for safe bathing and boating. The town has many open grassland areas; the largest being the clifftop Holland Haven nature reserve and country park on the edge of the town. Pubs and places to eat in Holland-on-Sea include The Roaring Donkey, Maffias restaurant, plus Giorgio’s Ristorante which specialises in seafood.
